Mission

My mission is to leverage my gift of teaching and deep knowledge of mathematics to educate students and adults in both mathematics and personal finance. I am committed to fostering creativity, accountability, and effective communication as a math and money coach. Through working with teens, twenty-somethings, and beyond, I aim to inspire a lifelong passion for learning and promote a balanced, well-rounded life. While using innovative and creative approaches, I strive to demonstrate how mathematical principles can be applied to improve everyday lives, making education both engaging and impactful. 

Bio

Hello! I'm Cameron Starc, an educator who is inspired by mathematics and dedicated to helping others. I hold a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mathematics (2002) and a Master of Arts in Teaching (2017). With ten years of experience teaching high school math and a Texas Educator Certificate for grades 7-12, I bring both expertise and enthusiasm to math and money sessions. 

I've earned the Google Data Analytics Professional Certificate, which has enhanced my ability to analyze data and assist others in making decisions. 

I am a member of the Association for Financial Counseling and Planning Education, which keeps me up-to-date on financial news, counseling techniques, and issues clients face.

In recognition of my dedication and innovative teaching methods, I was honored to receive the Teacher of the Year award for the 2019-2020 school year. This award was partly due to my efforts in helping teachers and students pivot from in-person learning to remote learning, ensuring that education continued during challenging times. 

Outside of teaching, I enjoy riding bikes, visiting state and national parks, organizing things, and spending quality time with friends. These hobbies keep me balanced and inspired, and I bring this same balance and inspiration to my teaching approach.

Services

Quick Chat - A 15-minute phone call with new/potential clients to pinpoint issues or goals, make sure I can help you, and share a bit of my process. I will call you at the scheduled time. 

Financial Discovery Session - A comprehensive session designed for you to discover where you stand financially. You complete the Discovery Questionnaire prior to the session. I analyze your finances and create reports. We meet for about two hours to discuss. 

Financial Coaching Session - A 60-minute coaching session to work on financial goals. Click on the date to see available times. After choosing the time, you are welcome to include any goals or topics that you would like to focus on.
